Outstanding picture book
My 2-year-old son has loved this book since he got it more than a year ago, and I love it too. The pictures are beautiful and fun to look at on their own, but now we like to count the animals on each page. Looking for the cat hiding on each page is the best part of all.

My favorite gift for toddlers
My own daughter (20 months) adores this book, and while I love most of the books in her collection, I have to say it's one of my favorites as well. I've given it to nearly all of our toddler friends as birthday gifts in the past year. This book has a number of levels, from finding the cat -- easy for the very young -- to recognizing animals, facilitating "animal sounds" discussions, counting, etc. And best of all, the art work is stunning. I have a feeling this book will become one of our enduring favorites.

wonderful book
The artwork in this book is amazing. I checked it out at the library for my 2.5 year old and now am buying it for our collection. The illustrations (appliques) are so colorful and creative. My boy enjoys looking for the cat and when he gets older, he can count the objects on each page. The author/illustrator is very creative. A wonderful addition to your library!

My Life As a Dog

Endearing, enlightening, totally charming!
What a joy and relief this adorable, witty book is during these trying times! Anyone who loves Moose on Frasier will just not be able to get enough of this delightful tome, which continues the show's wit onto the printed page. I was simply enchanted from cover to cover. Truly!

Too Funny!
This book had me rolling on the floor! It is wonderful to know that a dog with such a difficult beginning can become the star he is today. Ms. Decagny had her work cut out for her when taking Moose on, and it seems her work has paid off. The little Moose-isms in the book alone make it worth reading. Fabulous book.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was SO funny. Typical Jack Russell Terrier attitude! I guess my favorite part was Moose's phone call to Connie; it was especially hilarious! The part about Tommy, the Morgan Gelding, and how Connie (reluctantly--ha, ha) parted with Moose at the clinic were really funny. I'm sure all of the stories are true, and so typical of Jack Russells. I AM still laughing & telling everyone about the stories in Moose's book, so I guess it was worth the money! Maybe they should make it into a kids' movie, which I could go see. I just LOVE Moose! He's one of a kind!

A.E. Poynor
I have read other articles by Alan Poyner, but nothing can compare with having so much of his writing in one handy place. When ever I need a pick me up and a laugh, all I have to do is read a chapter and I'm set.
Luv ya Alan!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work. I'm ready for the next one!

Great Short Story Reading
Very nice reading for anytime, especially if a few chuckles are needed. I liked the short story layout, and it made for a great read whenever I wanted to smile. I would recommend this to anyone who likes humor delivered in a delightfully dry yet enjoyable manner! Good reading for all ages. Where is Volume II?

laugh out loud
lots of humor and altogether enjoyable reading. I prarticur enjoyed the chapter where the moose stalked school kids on their way to the bus stop

what animal are YOU?
I love this book. Never before has there been such a comprehensive, accurate, and enjoyable animal quiz book. I really only have one complaint -- according to the book I am a dolphin, when in fact I am a cheetah.

Kudos, Jeremy!

(Full disclosure alert: Jeremy Bronson is my best friend.)

I started a religion, and this book is its Bible
This is THE Animal Quiz book to own.

THE PERSONALITY TEST IS GREAT...AN EXCELLENT GIFT
This book is terrific. The personality test is a lot fun, and I'm amazed at how well it can figure out what animal you're like. If you're looking to buy someone a gift or you want a great conversation piece for your coffee table, I definitely recommend buying a copy of WHAT ANIMAL ARE YOU?

It is a very good and beautiful book

A Great Book
This book is very great. I enjoy reading it very much . I recommend to all kids to read this book."BLUE MOOSE" is a book for every one.

A Book for all Children
I used to read this book as a child and enjoyed it greatly. The story line about the blue moose becoming head waiter shows the imagination that Mr. Pinkwater needs in childrens' writing. I believe that it also teaches children to accept others.

Is There a Moose in Your Marriage? : Removing the Roadblocks through the Power of God
Published in Paperback by Multnomah Publishers Inc. (June, 2000)
Authors: Connie Grigsby and Nancy Cobb
Average review score:

This book saved my marriage
This is by far the best book I have read on relationships and marriage. I read it and threw alllll my self-help books away.
The changes were dramatic and quick; I almost didnt believe it myself. If you want to know what kind of wife God intended you to be this book is for you

An Incredible Book
Nancy Cobb and Connie Grigsby write with a voice of authority. They know the Biblical principles they cite for building a strong, loving marriage work -- because they transformed their relationships with their own husbands. Their personal anecdotes will touch you and inspire you -- and just may change your life! If you're longing for a better marriage, this book is full of godly wisdom and practical advice. But following its guidelines offers even more -- a closer relationship with the Lord.

I was the moose in my marriage!
If you are frustrated with your marriage and your husband and you are waiting for him to change, this book will show you how to get on track to having a joy-filled, loving relationship. It is a practical, witty guidebook for understanding God's "job description" for a wife. Let me tell you, it works! Since applying the principles in the book my marriage has gone from being on the brink of destruction to the kind of deeply satisfying relationship that I had always longed for, what a wonderful change there has been in my marriage. I highly recommend this book to anyone pursuing the kind of marriage that God intended us all to have.

Moose Racks, Bear Tracks and Other Alaska Kidsnacks: Cooking With Kids Has Never Been So Easy

So easy cooking
My kids love to bake the simple and tasty treats out of this book all by themselves.

Really Great Kids Cookbook!
I have purchased several children's cookbooks recently, but this book has by far been the one we have used the most! It is really easy to use and has some very cute recipes in it. Everything is easy for the children to make and it all has been very good to eat. The cute little Alaskan themed names are unique as well. I highly recommend this book!

Alaska Kidsnacks Cookbook
I'm a media specialist and I used this book for my first grade's Alaska Day held in the media center. I used several recipes for a cooking station that the students visited. They loved making the recipes because they were fun, easy, and had Alaskan names. They especially loved the snack-- Denali Peaks. Since the snacks are named after geographic locations, it was a great way to integrate a geography lesson, too. After we made the snacks, first graders located the town or region that the snack was named on a map. Kudos to the creator of this wonderful cookbook which makes a wonderful teaching resource on Alaska!

Mucky Moose
Wonderful & entertaining for kids of all ages. I had great fun reading to kids grades K-4, using different voices for Mucky & the wolf. Kids laughed & laughed. Automatically initiates discussion time. It's my second favorite book, after Charlotte's Web.

A must for Grandparents for their grandchildren
A must for kids who love to laugh. Give it to your children or grandchildren and you will enjoy it every time you read it to them.

Laugh till you cry till you pee. This book was HILARIOUS!
With Mucky Moose, the never ending search for a good old bedtime story ended here. Mucky's strong character (and smell) are to big a match for the big bad wolf. Morale of the story " If you can't eat him, become a seeing eye wolf " Laugh till you cry till you pee, this book book was a winner for my daughter and me.

Highly recommended!
What a clever story! Even as an adult I was able to fully enjoy this book. Illustration by Andrea Wallace was spectacular. All of the charactors she created were extremely charming and helped me enjoy the book even more. This book will make a great gift as well as a precious keep sake.

Not Another Moose is Not just any other kids book!
Although I am not a child any more, but I pretend to be some days, Not Just Another Moose has a wonderful story that can be enjoyed by young and adult readers. The illustrations, both amazing and very whimsical, bring the Moose and the perils of his prized antlers to life! A great find!

What I think about "Not Just Another Moose"
I am almost 8 and I think it was very good. It was very funny. I liked Hildy because she is a pig, and I like pigs. I liked that it was in chapters. It was nice.

The Original Story of Toulouse the Moose and His Friends
Published in Paperback by The Paragon Agency (March, 2000)
Author: Monique F. Rea
Average review score:

Toulouse the Moose--An Adventure
This is a charming story, with a European flair, of Toulouse the Moose and his cat friend Menou. The drawings, done by the author-artist, are delightful. There is a brief introduction about Toulouse's childhood history and then he embarks on two fun adventures.

There is a sensitivity about life, animals, and relationships of the characters that expresses kindness, courtesy, and politeness, setting a good example for children.

The story is simple and easy for children to relate to. I liked how it ended, leaving you with the idea there might be other stories to come. I hope there will be more stories of Toulouse the Moose.

Delightful little book
This book of French-raised Toulouse is delightfully illustrated with line drawings and each book is hand-colored by the artist.
Toulouse is a unique character, a moose with a mission perhaps, a moose definitely out for an adventure. His story will delight children and adults alike and the illustrations are simply wonderful.

Just Like The Old Days
Toulouse the Moose and His Friends is whimsical, fun and leaves you wondering about their other adventures together. The book is unique because it is hand-colored, just like the old days, with attention to detail.
